New CDC Support Service

Income Management participants in the Northern Territory can choose to transition to the Cashless Debit Card (CDC).

The card be used in any store that accepts eftpos or Visa (except to buy alcohol, gambling products and gift cards) and can be used to make purchases from all online retailers (except those that sell alcohol or have gambling activities available). The CDC is a fee-free account and participants can check their account balance and transaction history free of charge at an ATM, over the phone or online.

CDC participants in the Northern Territory can choose between two card issuers: the Traditional Credit Union (TCU) or Indue.

From March, HKTC will commence delivery of the CDC Support Service for Jabiru and the West Arnhem communities of Gunbalanya, Warruwi and Minjilang. The service will provide information, education and ongoing support to individuals who would like to know more about the CDC and the card’s functions and facilities.

The service will also deliver community education workshops to build digital literacy and online safety skills.

The CDC Support Service is available via free call on 1800 841 532.
