HK attends Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees Indigenous Super Summit

HK has for a long time been vocal about the need for superannuation and banking services to have more of a presence in community, know who their clients are and support a levy so financial counselling and capability service providers can get paid to assist Indigenous clients with superannuation and banking issues. As part of this conversation Toni our General Manager was invited to travel to Brisbane in August to attend the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees Indigenous Super Summit.

Attendance at the summit provided Toni and other providers with the opportunity to talk directly to superannuation company representatives about the many issues our clients encounter. During the summit real case studies were discussed and the challenges that Indigenous Australians have with understanding and accessing their superannuation and insurance. HK firmly believes that these conversations need to continue until we see change and we will continue to be a loud voice and a strong advocate for our clients.
